By India Today Web Desk: Kedar Jadhav was over the moon after he met former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni at a farmhouse. The veteran also introduced the horse that was in the pictures he posted on his Instagram handle.
Dhoni and Jadhav were also seen having a cup of beverage as they were seen wearing broad smiles.
He captioned the pictures and wrote, “Mahi bhai and me with sunehari. A day well spent at farmhouse.”
Jadhav lost his place in the Indian team after the ODI series against New Zealand back in 2020. The 37-year-old also didn’t take part in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after he went unsold at a base price of INR 2 crores.
He played under Dhoni for a couple of seasons for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL before plying his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
As far as Dhoni is concerned, he is again set to lead the Super Kings in the upcoming edition of the T20 tournament. CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanath confirmed the same.
Back in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021, Dhoni captained the Super Kings to glory in the IPL. However, last time around, CSK failed to advance to the playoffs after losing a flurry of matches in the league stage.
2020 was the first time when the Super Kings couldn’t go through to the second round. Last year, the Super Kings handed the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja, who couldn’t quite deliver.
Hence, in the middle of the season, Dhoni took back the leadership mantle, but it didn’t make much difference to CSK’s fate.
