Two madrassa teachers held for ‘jihadi’ links | India News – Times of India


SILCHAR: Police arrested the headmaster and an assistant teacher of a non-government madrassa in Sonai locality of Assam’s Cachar district on Wednesday evening for their alleged links with jihadi activities.
Both the teachers were produced before a Silchar court, which remanded them in two-day police custody on Thursday. Headmaster Maulana Abul Hussain Laskar and assistant teacher Dilwar Hussain Majumdar of Swadhin Bazar Islamia Madrassa are being interrogated in the custody, police said.
